Trust and Rest in the Lord

ree

This Word came to me as I was watching an airplane getting ready to take off. Just to give you a little bit of background, I work at an airport as a ground equipment maintenance agent. So, as I was watching a plane being marshalled by ramp agents (the guy with the orange light batons), I noticed how one of the ramp agents was marshalling the plane. He stayed in the shadow under the wing to make sure it stayed clear of the various parked aircrafts. And what the Holy Spirit said to me was “Abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalms 91:1).

What the Lord was telling me was we are His sheep, His people, and His children. He is telling us to abide, rest and trust in Him! The Holy Spirit also said to me, “Morgan! When someone finds rest in the shadows or shade under a tree, they feel relaxed and free of care.” And that’s what the Lord wants from us: to be free in Him and to cast our cares upon Him.

The Lord is telling me to tell the saints that trust and rest goes hand in hand when it comes to the Lord: “Trust in Him” and “Rest in His Sovereignty”. This is because His sovereignty reassures us that the hearts of the kings are in His hands (Proverbs 21:1-9), it reassures us that He provides and increases (2 Corinthians 9:10), and His sovereignty assures us that He is G-d and we are not. I urge you saints that whatever hardship life has presented to you, give it to Jesus, trust that He will take it and rest that He will bring it under submission to Himself. Amen.

Receive the blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His face toward you and give you peace. In Yeshua’s Holy name, Amen.
