About the event
The last of the fall feasts, Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, is a joyful Jewish festival of gratitude for God's provision, described in Leviticus 23:34-42. Participants build and dwell in sukkahs, temporary structures, to commemorate God's care during their ancestors' 40-year wilderness journey. Traditions include waving the lulav, representing God's bounty, and the Hoshana Rabbah ceremony, where priests pour water on the altar, symbolizing divine blessings and the coming of the Messiah. Jesus referenced this ceremony to reveal Himself as the Messiah. The feast is also prophesied to be celebrated in God's future millennial kingdom.
